The following includes information regarding "Flag Mode" that has been newly added to Mode Lab for Season 4.
- What is the Mode Lab? -
- The Mode Lab is a place where racers can experience and play new modes early and modes that will be built upon in the future.- The Mode Lab can be accessed through [Lobby] –> [Select Mode] –> [Mode Lab].
- What is Flag Mode? -
- Flag Mode Availability: 3:59 PM (PST) December 13 (Wednesday) through December 27 (Wednesday), 2023
- In this mode, 4 racers will be on a team and collect flags that appear on the track. They will then bring each flag over to their team's Flag Zone to score points.
- As you obtain and move with the flags, you can use items that appear on the track to disrupt opponents or protect your own team.
- Flag Mode Guide -
- If you are new to Flag Mode, check out the Flag Mode Guide to learn how to play.
- The Flag Mode Guide is available via Mode Lab > Flag Mode at the bottom of the screen.
- How to win Flag Mode -
- The first team to score 20 points within 3 minutes wins.
- If no team can score 20 points in the 3 minutes of the race, the team with the most points wins.
- If both teams have the same number of points after 3 minutes, the race goes into overtime.
- Flag Mode Race Rules -
- There are two types of flags, red and blue, that are placed on the track.
- Earn 2 Points when the flag color matches your team's flag zone color, and 1 Point when the colors don't match.
- Points are added when scoring in your own Flag Zone; if you bring a flag into the opposing team’s Flag Zone, the flag will respawn.
- The reset function cannot generally be used. (Available only if someone leaves the course or gets stuck)
- At the last minute mark, Last Spurt is triggered, and up to 4 flags may spawn on the track.
- Flag Mode Overtime -
- When overtime is underway, an overtime alert will be displayed on the screen for 3 seconds.
- When the alert is displayed, the flags that are spawned on the track will be removed.
- When the alert is displayed, the item you were holding will also be removed.
- In overtime, the first team to score 10 Points wins.
- A total of 6 flags will appear on the track.
- Flag Mode Exclusive Rules -
- Movement Speed will be slowed for racers holding the flag.
- You cannot obtain more than 1 flag.
- If a flag had been dropped or stolen, Racer won't be able to re-obtain it for 2 seconds.

* You won't drop the flag even if you're hit with a Magnet or UFO.
* When the Siren effect is activated, you won't drop the flag even if you collide with another racer.
- If a racer holding a flag collides with a racer of the opposing team, the flag will be passed to the opposing team’s racer.
