Here's what I know about the types of drifts:
Short Drift: Tap a direction button AND drift button quickly.
Short Drag: Short Drift twice in a row. Watch the skid marks!
Drag: Simply drift while using Nitro.
Nitro S-Charge: Swerve in an S shape while using Nitro.
Optimal Drift: Drift normally, but no more than 60 degrees. After adjusting, don't hit any directional buttons.
Cut Charge: Drift until the Nitro Bar is filled, then convert it to Nitro. Then, IMMEDIATELY start a drift in the same direction.
Double Drift: Simply drift in the same direction right after you begin drifting.
EXTRA TIPS:
For maximum style, drift across the finish line when you finish!
Using enough drift actions makes your nitro last longer, (if you have nitro.) and you'll definitely stand out from everyone else!
(OFF TOPIC) : Try and balance your kart's stats.
