In KartRider: Drift, you can communicate with other racers via voice chat. Voice Chat settings can be set up through “[In-game Lobby - Menu - Settings - Audio]”.
Don't forget that you need a device with a microphone (like a headset, webcam, etc.) for Voice Chat!
Voice Chat Settings
∙ The initial Voice Chat setting is set to “On”, but you can turn ON/OFF Voice Chat and adjust the volume.
1. How to Check My Voice Chat Settings
∙ You can check whether your Voice Chat is active by checking the speaker icon next to your racer name.
∙ When Voice Chat is active, the speaker icon will show a blue wave. When Voice Chat is inactive, there is an “X” displayed next to the speaker icon.

∙ Voice Chat is sorted as “Party Chat” when you're in the lobby and sorted as “Team Chat” while you're waiting to join a game.
1. Voice Chat Icon Details
∙ If you create a party with your friends, you can chat with them in the lobby.
Custom Race Chat
∙ In the Custom Race lobby, you can chat with all the present racers.
Voice Chat In A Race
∙ You can use Voice Chat with your teammates during a race.
∙ As shown in the screen above, a teammate who is speaking has a wave on their speaker icon to the right of their racer name.
(Please note that the speaker icon can be displayed differently based on a racer's Voice Chat settings!)
∙ The Voice Chat feature is unavailable in Solo races.
Mute Voice Chat Feature
∙ You can use “Mute” if you don't want to hear a specific racer.
∙ While you're waiting for the race to start or after a race has finished, select the nickname of a racer and press “Mute” on the screen.
∙ If you want to hear the voice of the racer you previously blocked, you can select the muted racer and “Unmute” them.
The “Emoji” feature will allow you to express a variety of emotions in the lobby or waiting screen.
How to Use Emojis
∙ If you press “Emoji” at the bottom-left of the lobby, eight types of emojis expressing certain emotions are shown on a wheel to the left.
∙ When you select an emoji, that emoji will be displayed in the speech bubble and the character will express an emotion that matches the emoji used.
Setting Up Your Emojis
∙ You can choose your emojis at “Main Screen > Garage > Emoji”.
∙ Select and use an emoji for each situation (ex. Joy, Sad, etc.)
∙ Emojis that have been set up for use are displayed with a white border along with the text, “In Use”.
∙ The emojis you set up are applied to your character.
∙ Emojis: Joy, Sad, Surprised, Agree, Bluff, Nice, Angry, etc.
∙ Emoji Decals: Dao, Bazzi, Diz, Marid, Brodi, Neo, Rex
You can select an emote to use after a Victory, Defeat, Finish, or Retire on “[Main Screen - Garage - Character - Emote]”.
Emotes are owned by each character and can be obtained from purchases at the Shop or as rewards from the Racing Pass.
