Right Shift rebind and now no left drift possible

Hello, I had to rebind Accelerate to right shift on my laptop because of the button design of the arrow keys being too small, now when I try to perform a drift to the left, it just doesn't happen.

Key presses are Rshift+Left arrow, then tap left shift and the wheels don't "lock" and no drift is performed.
Is there an internal conflict with the shift buttons, one cancelling out the other? If so, is there anything I can do?

    EDIT:

    I checked again and while left shift is being held down, the left arrow doesn't work at all, but right arrow does

    I def wanna get this fixed for you because I'm another weirdo using right shift for accelerate and I gotta support the squad
