Hello everyone! I recently remembered how I loved playing Flash games as a child. It was a whole era - Newgrounds, Armor Games, hundreds of free games that could run even on old computer. But now Flash is gone, and all these projects have disappeared with it.

I read somewhere that it was removed due to security issues and that it was replaced by HTML5. But it's still a shame. Games like Stickman, Interactive Buddy or even simple puzzles were cool. Who knows what really happened? And is it possible to find or play old Flash games somewhere?

Yes, you are right, Flash games were indeed very popular. There are several important reasons for their disappearance. Flash had serious security issues. Hackers could use vulnerabilities in Flash to infiltrate users' computers. This became big problem, especially as the number of attacks increased. Adobe could not quickly fix all the vulnerabilities. So they decided to stop supporting Flash in 2021. Web technologies began to evolve and new platforms emerged, such as HTML5, which were safer and more flexible. HTML5 allowed developers to create games that worked without additional plugins, and this was real revolution. Games started to launch faster, and with advent of WebGL and WebAssembly, it became possible to make 3D graphics directly in the browser. Flash was simply outdated and its time had passed. Guys, this is really cool topic! Flash games are not just entertainment, but part of our Internet culture. Thanks for the link, I'll read it now. I also heard that some popular Flash games have been ported to modern platforms. For example, there are updated versions on Steam or mobile stores.
