Hi everyone! I am a new designer and I need to choose the right cap mockup. I want to create a unique design for my new collection, but I can’t figure out how to choose the right mockup that will best highlight the shape of the cap. Any tips on this? I have seen a lot of mockups online, but they often don’t quite match the size and shape of the cap, and the print on them doesn’t look the way I would like. This makes it difficult to choose because many mockups are too busy with details, while others don’t show the product well. Are there any resources that can help me avoid mistakes when choosing mockups?

Choosing cap mockups can really be difficult, especially if you do not take into account all the subtleties. For example, it is important that the mockup matches the size and shape of the product itself, otherwise the printing will look sloppy. It is important to choose mockups that emphasize the shape of the cap, and not hide it. Many beginners make the mistake of trying to make the design too bright or overloaded with details. Also, it is worth avoiding low-quality mockups, as they may poorly display the details of the logo. When I started looking for suitable mockups for our products, I came across a resource that explains in detail all the mistakes that can be made when working with cap mockups. For example, you can check out this site: https://sbhinter.com/mockup-mythbusting-placing-your-hat-on-mockups/ , which busts myths and gives useful tips on choosing a quality mockup for caps.

You need to consider how the logo will look on each part of the cap. It is also important to choose high-quality images so that the mockup does not look cheap. So now I always check how realistic the mockup is before approving the final version.
