Hello devs,

I will once again keep this post short so immediate action can be taken.

We approve of the director's vision and appreciate the effort he is giving us after the failure of JL almost killing an amazing franchise.

Before pointing out the negative I want to mention we enjoyed the RISE update alot as we could find constant games with good players all over the world,
we had fun so kept playing the game, unfortunately, this is no longer the case since the midseason patch.

MatchMaking

1.
Since the mid season update the western players are no longer able to find games.
The queues can take up to and over 30 minutes, we have like 1 active MM lobby and people just sit in queue till someone leaves or till 7 more western players start the queue.

This has nothing to do with rank but it is once again a region/ping restriction like we had when JL was director.

Before the midseason patch we used to match with our asian friends on a regular basis without any issues, even the red ping was very acceptable.
This is no longer the case, we do not match them after trying multiple times.

PLEASE revert whatever restriction has been done ASAP, because with the current state of MM the game is no longer enjoyable for western players.

2.
There has been reported several cases of a full bot lobby with extremely similar generated names "Lucci2019" "Lucci19" etc,
this is not helping anyone, the AI have 0 skill and just grip drive, this is only taking up spots for players who should match together.
Just forget the idea and end their processes.

3.
Sometimes players get "left because unforseen error" after finishing a game and trying to match again,
I personally get this when I alt tab out of the game before returning to matching has finished the countdown.
Alt tabbing while you are back in the lobby with players often results into having no in game sounds.
Also we can not hear the queue sound when we are alt tabbed out of the game.
Something is seriously wrong with alt tab.




I also would like to mention some of our close kartrider friends have been banned for "winstreak abusing"
Basically you have banned the most passionate players you have.
Not because they were planning to exploit or abuse something,
but because it is YOUR system that failed to explain this was not allowed.
If they get banned, you can ban 90% of the playerbase because everyone has done it who actively played the game.

We appreciate the work you have done with the drift slider, great job.

however during this state of emergency where everyone stopped playing the game,
we did not realize a more concerning problem.

Matchmaking has been region locked.

Since the mid season patch we have not been able to match with ANYONE outside our region.
We have queued for hours and hours, we have tested with asia players that we always match with in MM.
The only obvious explanation I can give is that everyone has been region locked in matchmaking.
It's like we are soft locked on "Optimal" network settings.

Please look into this quickly because right now this is just queuecity - "population: yes"

The gameplay feels good but now we just need games to play,

I am sad to see so many people leave the game,
upon my return for season 2 I saw not a single thing has changed yet.

It seems the coding is being a problem to find a fix.
Since there is very little communication I assume they are recoding a majority of the game and it takes time.


Here is a small portion of things that are easy to code and would bring some life into the game.

Add a hot time event for GP;
2 times a day ; 1. 7PM-11PM CET 2. 7PM-11PM ET
4x on Saturday and Sunday

Change values of GPP LOST for people below Masters,
this will have several positive effects,
1, People will play more to get the Masters rewards.
2. More skill improvement as they are facing better players that they can copy.
3. Master players will find more games.
4. A dopamine effect to get people addicted to playing the game.

Add a chat system;
Just do it,
Not having a chat system is ridiculous.
We are in 2023 and we get a game with 0 form of communication,
gamers are loners, they change games and make new friends.
If you want to prevent toxicity then apply 0 tolerance to reports.

Raise the lucci gained in GP;
Alot of people are not getting to the 4k cap,
give them a reason to play GP rather then MM

Hello,

After putting 700 hours in this game, it's time to have a talk.

There has been no communication towards the players about the ongoing issues,

So in name of the Western community, we would like to get some answers.
The current state of the game is unacceptable.
I will keep this post short so it can be addressed properly.


2 major issues that are making the game unplayable for the West.

1. Queue / matchmaking

Europe GP is completely dead once reaching silver 1, we are lucky to find 1 game a day.
NA GP sometimes finds games because their server range is wider.
Overall both are dead for the people who actually play the game.
And even when we do find a game, there is the ping slapping issue, which we will get to in point 2.


The range of rank and region must be widened,
Silver 1 should be able to match with Silver 3, win or lose more points depending on the average rank of the lobby.
Silver 2 - Gold 1, Silver 3 - Gold 2, etc,

We do not care that we have to play in a red ping lobby (if point 2 is resolved), we need consistent games, we need something to grind.

You are currently giving us no reason at all to play the game,
GP is dead, Matchmaking is unplayable because of point 2,
We can't even go into customs with our friends anymore, again because of point 2.

So we are supposed to sit in queue and spin our kart?

+ Why are there still item maps in the speed matchmaking pool?
No speed player has any interest in playing these.


2. Ping / rubberbanding / teleporting

Since that patch of FEBRUARY 16TH the red ping players have become a warping army of death.
Before this patch we had no issues facing red ping players.

You cannot see them, they are teleporting all around you so you cannot predict where they are driving.
You cannot go anywhere near them, the rubberbanding is so bad that you will get hit by them no matter what, so its extremely hard to get by them.
When they slap you, your kart gets put to a complete stop, you are basically getting hit by a concrete wall.

And there is no if, they will slap you if you are anywhere near them, and this goes for every red ping player.
Even bumping into orange ping can be lethal, the orange pings sometimes blink red for a second and warp to the next player near them to ruin their game.


You know the exact date when it started, you know all the data that has been uploaded in that patch, why is it taking so long to fix this?


So because of these issues, the people who love this game and play it as much as they can, have nothing to do.
And we have not been given a single form of communication about this, yet every serious player is talking about it.


Are you aware that these problems have been ongoing for a while now?
What is being done about these 2 issues?
What is the ETA on the fix?
