after finishing the tutorial and skipping the racing school i selected the turtle kart, and then went into speed karts and selected the solid kart. then i went back and selected solo only from mode select and 40 seconds later when i got into the match and saw the screen that showed all of the other players connecting, unreal engine crashed. This was my first time opening the game and trying to play a match. Attached is the crash dump. When i reopened the game and tried to play another match it worked without any problems.

    Dude i got the same error like 5 times in steam... and my game experience was really poor because of that, so after 2 hours trying to enjoy the game, i give up. This is far the worst beta testing i had in a game...

    Hi Zonticore,

    Happy to hear that it only seemed to crash that one time. If you run into more issues, please let us know.

    @MrJuLiuS,
    One of our Senion GMs has created a guide to help troubleshoot/fix crash issues. I will leave it here, if you want to try following the steps in this guide. Also, for Steam - can you confirm that you do not have a PS4 controller (or controller mods) connected when trying to load the game? Having a PS4 controller connected will cause the game to crash.

    I think the best way to narrow down crashes is to eliminate as much potential external interference as possible, see if it works smoothly without anything interfering (if it doesn't then we've already narrowed it down a lot), and then slowly switch things back on. Here are a few steps you can try, and as always, we appreciate any feedback, or if you locate any issues.

    1. Set both the "KartRider" file and your launcher (Nexon/Steam) to run as admin by doing the following ->Right click->Properties->Compatibility->Change Settings for all users->Run as admin.

    2. Restart computer in Safe Mode with Networking -> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode (you can do clean boot in favor of this if you want, but if it doesn't work, go back to this one)

    3. Disable any security software (antivirus/firewall etc.)

    4. Run game

    --- If this works
    1. Clean boot with same parameters -> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

    --- If this works
    1. Re-enable security software

    --- If this works
    1. Turn back on any programs important to you and start narrowing things down from here.
