KartRider: Drift Rep

  • The State of Gameplay after Maintenance (Feb 15)

I already made a technical issue post on this. Yes, it's definitely gotten laggy after the Feb 15 patch. I play on android. I live in New Zealand & my Wi-Fi/broadband is pretty decent. Never had issues even with this game, prior to this update. Game used to run smoothly at least.
I believe NEXON is trying to test if they can get away with fewer server resources and manage a large amount of players with lesser servers. Hence, the deterioration in connection quality. This poor investment in infrastructure AND no consideration to all the player feedback in regards to the core gameplay, drifting, is really concerning! Especially right before the full cross-platform release on consoles. Gonna look really bad to new players coming in after the March launch of the official Season 01. At this point, I am not even sure if anyone from NEXON even bothers going through all these posts, cause no one from NEXON ever leaves any responses to them!

  • Severe LAG after latest update

Hello, I live in New Zealand. I've been playing on my android device since the pre-season started, about a month ago. I have very good Wi-Fi & Broadband internet at home, where I play. The game had been running smoothly, most of the time, up until the latest mid-preseason patch on February 15. After this patch, the LAG has been insane. Players are warping all over the place, position in-race isn't registering until after about 2-3 seconds. Frame rates are stuttering. And you can barely lock onto other players since it's so laggy!
What the heck Nexon?!?!? Are you trying to see if you can get away with less maintenance costs by reducing the server resources? Because if you are, then it's not working! This doesn't look very promising for the upcoming Full console release & Season 1. This, along with the drifting mechanics players have been complaining about is a killer combo! If you keep this up, word of mouth will spread that Nexon isn't investing enough resources & money into the up-keep & full launch of Kart Rider Drift. And this can be devastating for a new live-service game. I really want to speak good things about this game & recommend it to my friends. But you're making it REALLY HARD by taking so many steps backwards, rather than forward! Step up your game Nexon, step up your game!

  • Control layout for manual acceleration (Mobile)

Ah, I see. I agree with your suggestion for the overhauled control layout using the touch screen controls. Nice thought!
Also, would be nice to have the option to turn it off if using controllers!

  • Disconnected Player EVERY Game!

What's with the ONE player almost EVERY game, who sits there loading and then eventually, lags out (Disconnects)? Almost 90% of the games this happens. Why??? It just gets stuck on the pre-game loading screen until this ONE player is booted & the race can finally start. So annoying!!!
Like always ONE, not 2, not 3, just ONE! Is this some kind of bug or is it intentionally being done by griefers to ruin the fun for everyone else by having a bots spam lobbies to slow them down? How can this be statistically possible, that there's always JUST ONE PLAYER? Even the law of random doesn't allow these kinds of odds!
This should seriously be looked at by the devs (NEXON).

  • TURN OFF "AUTO ACCELERATION" option for Android

Please, please, please, give the option to turn off auto-Acceleration for mobile platforms (Android), especially if using controllers. We need precise control over our drifting, and this can't be done with auto-acceleration always on. Especially so for higher speed modes.
